Sundak Beach

it's the same seashore with "Siung" Beach, but far enough if we turn the destination from "Siung" beach to
"Sundak" beach. it needs 30 minutes to go. this place is gorgeous, clean water, fishes, sea birds, star fish and many more sea creatures can be found here. foreign tourist and domestic tourist are bound together to enjoy the wind flow here. tropical trees decorate the beach well enough, so that it doesn't feel hot. that's why many domestic tourists spend their holiday here, for one aim, "to leave the daily activity for a while". the best time?? the same with commonly recommendation if you go to the beach, early evening or dawn. you can enjoy the traditional food in some food stalls. for the price, don't worry. there is no expensive food in food stall. commonly, you'll spend Rp 15.000,00 for lunch. just before entering the beach area, you should pay ticket for about Rp 9.000,00. really cheap right?? those are the description to help you imagine this place.
more over, the main thing that we want to share is the beach. there are many corals behind the clear water, sometimes if you lucky you'll see fishes swimming around your feet. small cute fishes are shy creatures. and I suggest to not disturb their living. even this beach is fulfilled by hundreds of cute fish, it doesn't make any sense if there isn't dangerous fish around there.  there many "bulu babi"- the way people in my country call this thing- (sea creature in ball shaped, and many thorns around it's body) and it's called with sea urchin in english. they hide in the coral's hole to cover it self from predators. if you go far enaough to the sea, you'll find seaweed in everywhere. it feels like cabbage. but don't try to eat this weed if you don't want someone call you with dugong. you can go along the edge of seashore if you have an intention to explore this beach all day long. you can rent a jetsky, but we don't know the price precisely for rent. the rental is located on the street before official gate on "Sundak" beach. they stay in the huts along the street. this beach is facilitated with three post on the cliff, so that you can see the beach from the top. it's a good place for watching sunset. the best romantic place for new young lover. so, what do you think??

Siung Beach ( Pantai Siung)

Siung Beach is located in south of Java Island, precisely Gunungkidul residence, and approximately 75 km from Yogyakarta. it needs 3 hour from Solo (Surakarta) or 2 hour from Yogyakarta. this place is internationaly known as one of the best cliff for climbing. there are more than 200 path for climbing track. it's devided into several level for climber, so they may try the cliff to sharpen their experience.
first, let me tell you the historical of the beach name. "siung" it means by fangs. there is a story behind the name. why it's called by "siung". because years ago, when this beach hadn't been named there were a thousands of monkeys came down on the beach to find foods. in certain season, these monkeys instincly sensed the season while crops were ready to be harvested. instead, naturaly by people there, this beach was named by "siung" beach. as noticed that monkey had fangs. this beach is nothing other than called by "siung" because of this story. those cliffs are really looked like monkey fangs. this shape of cliff is not formed by sacred story of monkey. but it was formed from the tectonic power which pushed the land up, and leave the evidence that this land was covered by ocean. "siung" beach is located in carst mountain range. certainly , we can find identical characteristic of this carst land. as far as we look around, there are only carst land. but there is a beautiful beach after experiencing in passing trhough the carst land. it's payed back at all when the beach slowly decreased the exhausted after long trip.
the best time for you to go here, is early evening from Yogyakarta. because there's a high cliff which can be the best place used for enjoying the sunset. for traveler who wants to stay, you can rent the hut made of wood for living. daily facilities are available everyday so don't be scare if you'll out of stock. the weather is really cool, because of this location is close to mountainous. for traveler who wants to build a camp, it's very suggested to build a strong camp.
the beach are really full of fish. because many corals grow well in here. a view amount of tourist, make this beach looked really virgin, untouch, and natural. so, what is your oppinion about this beach??
